Simple Spaghetti Recipe.. crowdtap Ragu style!

>> Friday, October 17, 2014

Spaghetti is an all-time favorite at my house. It is definitely something, who at the sometimes picky stage, will eat and enjoy and get so messy but loves it! I received a sampling opportunity from Crowdtap and Ragu to sample a jar of Old World Style sauce. Let me tell you- spaghetti is sooo easy to make and since we've been so busy with work, church, school etc. this sampling was great! I changed up my usual this time and used whole wheat pasta and spicy pepper jack sausage. It was definitely yummy. The Ragu sauce was traditional and delicious!

Sponsored by Crowdtap. Check it out- it's an awesome site

Every stage with Tommy was been ultimately rewarding, but lately he has been sooo cuddly and lovable that I just want time to freeze so I can enjoy every last bit before he grows up. Tommy loves to give kisses, and it’s only fair to him to kiss his mama and papa too. Multiple kisses for me and multiple kisses for Jared.   He makes a “pop” sound with his lips and it makes me so happy. He loves holding hands, usually one hand with mama and one with Papa. This week he started saying prayers all by himself. He kneels on the bed, closes his eyes and makes his best concentration face (although you can tell he’s still peeking a bit haha) and mumbles a little prayer to himself. It’s really the best thing. J He loves singing and when I sing to him, we play a game where he finishes the phrase or line of the song.

I received a Hidden Valley Ranch kit from Crowdtap to try out some of their products so I decided to share with family. Nothing like good food and good company.

Without a doubt, children learn by example.  To think that they're watching what you do, what you say every day- what a great responsibility! But what a great privilege.

We've been trying to teach Tommy to cross his arms before we pray but he tends to do things when he wants to so he'd always just refuse to do it, laugh and watch us pray. Yesterday before dinner we were sitting at the table and I say "Tommy, la oración" (prayer). Without even thinking twice, Tommy crosses his little chubby arms, in prayer-ready position. All evening every time I'd say la oracion he'd quickly cross his arms. It was so cute to watch I had to get a picture of it :)

My goodness! I am so bad at blogging..So many things happening around here but so little time to update. I'll have to post loads of pictures.

I started working-full-time as a project designer for a Landscape Architecture firm (yay check that off my list!). My mother-in-law watches Tommy mostly but now that summer is here, my mom and sisters help out. Tommy is adjusting for the most part. The first week was rough on both of us. He refused to eat and cried all the time if I wasn't around him. I cried with him every time I left.  But now he takes bottles and although he cries a bit when I leave, he stops when he's distracted by other things or people.

Work is good. A lot of work and a bit stressful at times. I love being a mom and i know that it is my main role to raise awesome and good people (the world certainly needs more of them), but  is it strange/selfish to say that for the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm contributing a bit more to the world?

We'll see how long working lasts though. I get days when I think to myself "what are you doing Aimee when you could be home with your adorable baby boy". Hopefully though my family and I can be more financially stable and I can eventually stay home if I want to (or when I have another baby).
